Today,  on Christmas Eve, I defer to an author whom I love.  He can describe winter and Christmas so much better than I can.  Hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with the laughter of family and friends. Each year I hear Karen Carpenter’s song, “Merry Christmas, Darling”.  I love that song.  It makes me cry.  Of course, many Christmas songs bring tears to my eyes, I’m just like that. This song, though, returns me to 1983.  No matter what year it is, I am immediately taken back to the Christmas of 1983.
