Gratitude…

Each Christmas our family has a tradition of giving a gift to Christ in celebration of His birthday.  We do this before exchanging gifts to one another.   Through they years we have watched as our daughters have given things like a ball, and childish things from their little hearts to hearing them say as adults

Weeding…

When we bought our first home there was no landscaping in place except for a small patch of grass in the front yard with a lone star-pine tree planted there.  I loved the star pine, Hubby did not.  It did not last long in the front yard and eventually the landscaping never truly took hold. 

Good-bye 2013…

I could wax on about the past year, but, having read through several of my posts from this year, I think you have already heard it from me.  So, I leave this year with a quote that I want to share with you. An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. 

Reflections and memories…

The week before Christmas and New Year’s always brings a flood of reflection.  Each year, I sit and think about the past year.  I then think about the coming year.  I know most people do the same thing.  It’s good, I think, to remember where you were a year ago and what all has happened.
