Seasons…. 31 Days of Observing…

31 Days Observing Each day of this challenge I have wondered what I was going to write.  It is one of the first thoughts of my day.  I noticed yesterday that I was counting the days until the end of the month.  But, I am determined that I will not stop now. This morning IContinue reading “Seasons…. 31 Days of Observing…”

Worry… 31 Days of Observing

31 Days Observing Today’s sermon talked about worry. I listened and thought about it.  I felt like it was aimed just at me.  Purely for me.  I worry.  I am a worrier.  Give me a reason and I will worry.   So, after church I did what everyone does (yes, this is sarcasm..) I googled worry. Continue reading “Worry… 31 Days of Observing”

A dose of sunshine… 31 Days of Observing

31 Days Observing  I woke up this morning with the usual list running in my mind.  Need to get up, walk the dog, clean the kitchen, bake for tomorrow, figure out dinner tonight and get into a better mood. Started to check off my list, dog fed, dog walked, smiled to neighbors, get online, checkContinue reading “A dose of sunshine… 31 Days of Observing”

On Missing a Way of Life… 31 Days of Observing…

31 Days Observing   This morning I spent some time reading posts on my Reader section.   There was a post from Adopting James titled “We Know Jack”  (http://adoptingjames.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/we-know-jack/). It was about the movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas”  (Tim Burton’s 1993 movie).   It was a great post to read, but what it did was transport me to Disneyland. Continue reading “On Missing a Way of Life… 31 Days of Observing…”

Aging… 31 Days of Observing….

31 Days Observing  My precious puppy is approaching 12 years old.  In March, he will celebrate that milestone.  We have had him since he was 7 and half weeks old.  He is a wonderful little guy, I would say he is my favorite dog of all time.  I have had several dogs in my lifetimeContinue reading “Aging… 31 Days of Observing….”

Cute… 31 Days of Observing…

31 Days Observing  I have been married almost 39 years.  I have known my hubby for about 43 years.  I have known him longer than I haven’t. Most of the time, he is just hubby and we go about our life together.  There are those rare occasions where I look at him and smile. TodayContinue reading “Cute… 31 Days of Observing…”

Thinking… 31 Days of Observing…

31 Days Observing  I have spent much of the morning thinking to myself.  Nothing major, just thinking.  We did some errands first thing this morning and that sort of switched up my routine.  I am a creature of habit.  I freely admit it.  I like order and things done the way I always do them. Continue reading “Thinking… 31 Days of Observing…”

Solitude…. 31 Days of Observing….

31 Days Observing  Hubby had an errand this morning.  He asked me join him, and I declined.  I didn’t feel like going out, especially where he was headed. So, for the first time in a while, I am home alone.  Not just for an hour, but for more.  It is delicious.  It is quiet.  ItContinue reading “Solitude…. 31 Days of Observing….”

Sunday Observations…. 31 Days of Observing

31 Days Observing  Today is Sunday.  A busy day with church and cleaning up after church and getting on with your day.  Today it is a fall day.  It is a bit overcast and it feels like fall.  I love days like this.  Neighbors are working in their yards, decorating their porches.  It feels likeContinue reading “Sunday Observations…. 31 Days of Observing”

Majesty…. 31 Days of Observing…

31 Days Observing  As I mentioned in my post yesterday, some things are just obvious.  It is easy to notice them.  They smack you in the face and you go, “Whoah!”  It’s that obvious to see things. Yesterday was another flight delay for our oldest’s boyfriend.  He came and spent the day and night withContinue reading “Majesty…. 31 Days of Observing…”
