I am a sixty something wife, mother and grandmother. I am a retired Navy wife. I have traveled many places and seen things I only dreamed of when I was young.
Originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania, I now call South Carolina my home. We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains or upstate South Carolina.
I am a Christian and have had the joy of teaching women through the years. My other joys are my grandchildren who have insisted on growing older each day. They hold my heart in their hands and reflect my joy in their smiles.
My hubby and I were high school sweethearts and continue on our adventure.
Welcome to dearanonymousfriend, a blog started several years ago . This place has brought me in touch with so many that I call friend, it is a blessing to me.
Look around my site, I hope you will find something that makes you smile. Cathi (DAF)
Hi there DAF,
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It’s always nice to see new faces, especially the ones who have a feel for where I am in my journey. Congrats to you for getting your story published! Hopefully some day I’ll get to that point… for now I’m just tapping away on the keys. I look forward to reading more of your work. 🙂
Yours is my first comment! Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. It’s been several years since my story was published and it is also my dream that it will happen again. I enjoy your blog, and am looking forward to seeing more. Thanks!
I love the notion of a work in progress. I very much feel that way too. The minute you think you have one area licked, along comes another one that needs work! Looking forward to reading more.
thanks so much for checking out my blog. It is a work in progress, as am I. I appreciate you reading my blog and also for leaving a comment. Again, thanks!
Since I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, I can relate to being a work in progress. I don’t know how you found my blog, but I’m glad you did, because now I have found you. Think I’ll keep you.
you are just too sweet. I found your blog recently while looking comments and blogs of others. Can’t even remember how. the name of your blog caught my eye, as we lived in CA for 27 years. At one point when my husband was considering a job transfer I told him that was great as long as it was east of the Mississippi. The east coast to me is the best place in the world. I am glad I stumbled upon your blog and I am enjoying reading it and getting to know you via your posts. Thanks!
How lovely to “meet” you, and find your blog. I had a really wonderful time reading your posts this morning, thank you 🙂
Anne
Nice to meet you also! Thanks for stopping by, I am glad you enjoyed my posts. DAF
To my DAF,
Thirty-three years ago I opened the door of my home to find my dearest friend standing there! We sipped tea, shared from the heart, raised our families – and dreamed. Congratulations on your new blog! Words and dreams. May God richly bless each and every one. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Always and Forever,
Susie ~
😉 You are a part of my journey, sorry… someone’s got to do it!!
Thinking about you and wondering where you’ve been. Hope all is well.
Thank you for checking in. Getting back into the swing of things here at home. Been to doctor appointments with hubby and had a surprise visit from our oldest… have been thinking of you and missing reading your work. Will get back into the swing of things soon. Appreciate you so much! Hope all is well with you.

Hello DAF! Great name! I see the book and the movie as i speak…
what a nice thing to say, wouldn’t that be fun? One can dream, can’t they?
Yes, they can – I second the idea 😉
Susie, thank you for all your encouragement and love!
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? Have you stopped blogging?
no, I have not stopped blogging, we moved in the spring, and in the six months we have lived here we have had 3 1/2 months of company…. so I just have not had much time to do anything. Will hopefully be more on top of things in the New Year. Thank you so much for checking in. I appreciate that!
Where have you been? We miss you.
I’m here, just haven’t had time to stop to even be online let alone write a complete sentence… Thanks for checking in on me.
Enjoyed reading your background! Sounds like a rich, fulfilling life.
It has been a fulfilling life, one that I have been surprise with. Thanks for stopping by Orla
