First things first…

I haven’t taken the time lately to write many (or any, for that matter) posts.  I am determined to catch up with the random thoughts travelling swiftly across my brain.

In April I was humbled beyond measure by the outpouring of encouragement and support from my fellow bloggers.  One of the gifts of this encouragement was the ABC award.

As Wendy said in her post to me, and I quote here: “OK, now on to the business at hand. The ABC Award comes with a couple caveats. The first is to make an alphabetical list of 26 things about me. Hmmmm…. I think this may be a bit tougher than I first considered. Then second, which I think is going to be great, is to pay the blog lovin’ forward and pick five fellow bloggers who have Awesome Blog Content.  The only problem I foresee with this task is picking just five. There are so many wonderful bloggers out there!”   I will now attempt to do this list.  Her list was quite impressive and I have spent the past few weeks trying to figure out how to cleverly do this.  Since nothing amazing came to mind I will just list the alphabet and attempt to describe myself 26 ways!

Absolute ~ it means without limit.  I try to think this way, not to box anyone in and look at all sides.

Bold ~ only on certain topics and in certain circumstances.

Comical ~ again… only on certain topics and in certain circumstances

Daring ~give me an amusement park and you will have to keep up with me!

Energetic ~ my family has threatened to velcro me to a couch on more than one occasion

Funny ~ I have a dry sense of humor and it has gotten me in trouble more than twice

God Fearing ~ I love our Creator and want to have a close walk with Him… but there is also that twinge of Catholic guilt left over from my Catholic school days.

Humorous ~ what can I say, do you see a pattern here?

Idealistic ~ give me a few moments to think about something and I will run with it

Just ~ well, that is how I like to see myself

Kind ~ this I try to practice

Loving ~ I give my heart easily

Mom ~ my favorite name in the world

No-nonsense ~ when I need to get something done, this is me

optimistic ~  HA!! just had to write this, anyone who truly knows me will say I am a half empty glass person, thought it might be fun to write it anyhow!

Persistent ~ I can stick to something longer than bubblegum

Quick ~ I believe in moving and getting things accomplished in the shortest amount of time possible.

Reliable ~ you can count on me

Stubborn ~ well, that needs nothing else with this

Tenacious ~ a better word for stubborn, don’t you think?

Understanding ~ a big downfall of mine, I can pretty much accept any excuse given me

Visionary ~ again, give me a few moments of quiet and I will think many great things (at least in my mind)

Wise ~ at least some people have said I am… guess I got them fooled!

Xanthippe ~ yep, had to look this one up, it means vixen or foxy person… nope, not me, but hey, I needed an ‘x’ word!

Youngster ~ at least in my mind I am still 17…

Zealous ~ for my family, friends and my Lord.

Now to give this award to others… this will come especially when I figure out how to do it!
